Venting Thread (Don't break the rules tho, keep it civil and shit this isn't a place to be all like "hey this guy on the forums really pisses me off" it should be about other shit)

Due to that, public universities are actually more respected than private universities

Hold up

You need to select your major by the time you take an entrance exam?

That’s awful

Anyway I did the national exam last year as a trainee and I’m still waiting results
I don’t expect to score above 700 because I barely studied at all and didn’t throw a random quote by a phillosopher/sociologist in the middle of my essay lol

The major is more important than the university here
Medicine is particularly infamous for having high standards

I strongly dislike the concept of entrance exams and am thankful that I do not live in a country that uses them.

And this is despite the fact that I’ve always been really good at taking standardized tests, so would probably benefit personally from being in such a system. It’s just a gross concept imo, and having general and repeatable standardized tests like those we have in the US is a much less harsh system.

Also picking a major at 17 with no college courses under your belt is gross

I actually can handle more than most people can in a shorter time, but start to get behind if there are more time since others will benefit more from it than me
So the less time I have to solve a question, the better
I usually take 1 minute to solve each and currently at the national exam we have 2 minutes to solve each

I have no frame of reference as to what kind of problems you’re solving lol

But good luck whenever you take the test and I pray you find a major that works for you (it is extremely common for students here to switch majors, and it’s not uncommon to switch multiple times)

I posted a screenshoot when I finished doing it because of the meme question

Problem: I can read none of that

it’s facebook reactions
it’s all that matters

also we had a minecraft question at math

Literally what

Questions always have context here, even physics/math questions

Where is league of legend question ;-;

The question specifically had internet strangeirisms taken to informal portuguese
they usually are verbs with a english word and -ar (the most famous of the 5 possible verb terminologies)
upar is to level up, grindar is to grind and so goes

But the neologisms on this question were SPECIFICALLY only used at LoL and one alternative mentioned Lolking.

Wait internment camps what

Oh wait

“internet terms” not “internment camps”

I can’t read

btw this was the minecraft question

had nothing to do with actual minecraft mechanically speaking but the flavor text was that they needed the perfect minecraft piece to finish their 4x4 block
bonus pic:

let’s get the thread back to the rails yes
I spent the entire afternoon out and didn’t had time to do my homework so tomorrow it will be double homework

I hate curves so much

They decentivize collaboration and hurt all members of a class
