“Ahem. Mic check, mic check. Good evening, everyone! My name is… well, you already know my name, and that’s exactly why you’re here.”
“The experiment of the century, to define the rest of human existence as we know it. We are so honored to accept here today, the hope-filled and hopeful youths of tomorrow. We are exceedingly thankful that you have placed your trust in us, that you all have chosen to live in our humble habitat for the purposes of our research. But we assure you, that in doing so, you’re helping to establish… well, a new world. I mean that literally, ahaha. But again, this is all needless exposition. Pandering. You all know what your mission here is. I simply wish us luck as we embark.”
The man smiles as the public looks on, waving at those walking into the habitat. A new world – one that is entirely self-sustained, and sustainable… a habitat, environment, colony that could take man anywhere and everywhere. But this is all just a grandiose dream, a flashback of sorts. Here you sit, within the habitat, with one singular purpose. To survive, and prosper – to give everyone hope… what could possibly go wrong?
Welcome to Danganronpa: A New World!
Joining the Discord is mandatory. It is where the game will be taking place.
Most of you probably know the drill by now, but regardless, I encourage you to fully read the OP if you’re able. I spent quite a bit of time writing this all up for you guys, and it’s just jam-packed with some good updates and neat tidbits you might not be expecting. So please, do Whammy, Shuri, and Polik a favor and read this thing over!
It’s extremely essential that your character sheets contain the information required so that we can get an adequate understanding of who your character truly is. If we prompt you to make edits or elaborate on something, it may be mildly annoying but trust me that there’s a method to my madness.
With that out of the way, here’s the character sheet format!
The game will be divided into the standard day and night phases, which will last roughly 12 hours each. The phases begin and end at the discretion of the hosts. During the day, you socialize with your fellow habitat compatriots while making sure nothing blows up! You’ve got plenty of food and oxygen at the moment, but what’ll happen when that’s not the case? It’s an interesting possibility to consider. During the night, certain areas in the habitat may be off-limited, or you may GAIN access to certain areas and events.
The Dyno bot will automate both moving from room to room, as well as my brand new super awesome INVESTIGATION feature! Use this feature to investigate objects (and in time) murders! This should, ideally, give players something to do when no one is on and streamline the trials so that murder investigation goes much smoother… but I’m getting ahead of myself :3
Killing Game Rules
Rule #1: You must remain within the habitat at all times.
Rule #2: Some areas are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.
Rule #3: Sleep only within the dormitories.
Rule #4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore the habitat at your discretion.
Rule #5: Violence against habitat adminstrators is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of surveillance cameras.
Rule #6: Anyone who kills a fellow habitat compatriot and becomes “blackened” will be allowed to escape, unless they are discovered.
Rule #7: Once a murder takes place, a class trial will begin shortly thereafter. Participation is mandatory.
Rule #8: If the guilty party is exposed during the class trial, they alone will be executed.
Rule #9: If the guilty party is not exposed, they alone will graduate, and all remaining students will be executed.
Rule #10: The guilty party may only kill a maximum of two people during any single chapter.
(Wonder where I got these from >.<)
If you’d like to commit a murder, please ask permission to proceed. This is to prevent too many murder plots happening at once. Your chances of being approved are increased by a more intricate plan - be interesting!
Only commit murder if you’ve got the go-ahead from a host. You may have an accomplice, but only the killer will become blackened. You may hide evidence wherever and however you wish, including in all dorms and in your own possession.
You must vote at the end of the trial. You cannot present false evidence, but you can lie as much as you wish. Twists during the trials can, may, and will indeed happen. You have been warned.
